what a charming little place, but you’d think they would have at least one small bottle of free water for such a premium price. also, there was no hot water—imagine that! i almost considered a good review, but obviously, i woudl ve been better treated elsewhere. very dissapointing experience, indeed.

10/10
Room had a sweet corner balcony lookin' over the square, right where all the street music happens. Super clean and cozy, I tell ya. Got great water pressure in the shower, and the folks at the café were real friendly. All that and I could practice my Spanish, too!

Straight talk, worth it or not?
Location's unbeatable! The room was spacious with plenty of natural light. Air conditioning worked well, keeping us cool despite the Dominican heat.
Beware of street noise! The lack of an elevator means you'll be climbing stairs, which can be exhausting after a long day.

The dining at Cafeteria El Conde is a treat, with local dishes that hit the spot. I loved the fresh salads! The location is prime, right on a bustling square with vibrant street performances. Room 402 offered stunning views from the charming balcony, immersing us in the lively atmosphere of Zona Colonial.
However, no elevator made lugging my heavy suitcase up to the third floor quite the workout! Also, a real bummer was the absence of hot water—I really wanted to freshen up properly before the wedding I attended.
